Losing 100 pounds or more… Here’s How.
If your goal is to lose 100 pounds or more then you should read this article.
If you’ve been reading my blog/newsletter, then let me tell you.. in this case we have to do things differently. You won’t be approaching losing 100 pounds same as losing 30–40 pounds.
All I want you to do is to make a commitment of next 90 days. Now I am not suggesting you are going to lose all the weight in 90 days… In fact I’ll say, you won’t. I am suggesting it because if you can’t hold on to your commitment for next 90 days, chances of your succeeding is zero.
This is going to be long term planning.
The biggest problem in this situation is you cannot workout normally without stressing out your knee and ankle joints. Unless you have chronic illness or take regular medication, you don’t necessarily have to see the doc. But I suggest you to have a doc number on your support system.
In your goal to losing 100 pounds, then your major worry is not stressing your joints with workouts, That’s why I recommend diet and nutrition plan is phase 1.
There are 3 phase for this situation.
1. Phase 1 – Planning to get you under 80 pounds or less (while improving body conditioning)
2. Phase 2 – Planning to get you under 40 pounds or less (while improving body conditioning)
3. Phase 3 – Planning to get you under 15–20 pounds or less (while improving body conditioning).
In First 2 phases you should be on strict diet. No cheat meals. No Junk food. No “all you can eat food diets”. Strict means STRICT.
One thing I always believed with regards to fat, that our body is not meant to be FAT. The moment you start working towards a fat loss goal, it’ll shed all the fat like no body’s business. So when you’ll go on a diet for first 2–3 months. You’ll shed so much weight, that’ll surprise you.
Tony robbins in his own story talks about losing about 25 pounds in first month itself… I have personally seen people lose that kind of weight in first month. It’s shocking and crazy.
Diet : There’s no other way to do it without cutting carbs. But I don’t like the atkins way. They call it lifestyle of atkins (no carbs ever). That makes sickly and weak people. Do it for next 30 days.
Workout : FOr first 2 phases, I won’t ask you to workout like in my other workouts. I want you to be more active in your daily life.
More activity : If you can be more active in your daily life, ie. play with your child or pet or something. or take up a new hobby like badminton or just taking hour long walk. The more active you are in day to day life, the better your body conditiong will be.
Daily Walk : Go for a daily walk. Get a good shoes which supports you ankles. Go out for a walk. Get a friend along. Enjoy.
No more TV : One of my mentor used to joke “The size of your waist is directly proportional to the size of your TV”. These days, Families have TV’s in each and every single room. Get rid of them… Not only they are making you fat but also making you lose touch with your own family. Everybody’s busy watching something.
Or before I forget, TV creates depression… You only see Bad things happening all around on news. Stupid dramas where cheating, back stabbing is rampant… Depression will make you crave for carbs.
