How to build a beach body
Are you planning to build a lean mean machine out of your body?
When I think of beach body, I think of body that has no extra set of fat and muscles (yes muscles like bodybuilders). I prefer what I call functional fit body. This article today will give you a basic blueprint from where you can start seeing results in few weeks.
If you are serious about getting a good beach body, then you should make a commitment to yourself for next 30-45 days.
You have to use proper workout and plan your nutrition daily.
Let’s start with your diet program or nutrition.
One of the important thing about dieting is that you should keep it simple. You should start out by cleaning your diet completely.
That means, no binge eating, no more beers. To help you with this I am providing you with a diet plan checklist which you can print out and follow for your diet plan.
First of all cutting down carbs is one nice way of getting rid of unwanted fats. But you should not depend on cutting carbs as a way to lose fat.
The thing I’ve noticed about the human body is that it’s very adaptable. Our bodies do not want to be fat, it’s actually more conditioned to be in an area of constant survival mode.
One of my friend recently commented. He said
“You know, Varun, If someone dropped us in airplane, in some sort of jungle with just a knife and told us to survive for next 30 days. If we survive, we’ll lose all the extra fat, gain lean muscles without even working out.”
I know that’s truth. Our body needs some sort of stress to perform optimally. Even after hundreds of years of civilization, human body and mind hasn’t changed very much.
Here’s what I want you to do -
Imagine, you are in jungle and you have to survive for next 30 days with only a knife in hand. What kind of food you’ll eat?
The answer I have is : Pure natural food. Which I have to hunt or gather (fruits). There are no chemicals, no preservatives, no way to re-fridge. Food in it’s natural form.
That’s how you should be eating.
What about workouts?
You should focus more on strength training and body conditioning. Exercises like sprinting, lifting heavy weight, or bodyweight conditioning programs are your main choices.
You do not need any kind of body building type routines.
Again imagine how you’d survive in jungle? Lifting weight (to secure a place), Sprinting (to chase after a prey or run away from prey errr scary thoughts), jumping, climbing through the jungle (body conditioning).
Almost constant stress on your body to perform better. The best part is, your body will provide you with the energy, skills without any problem.
If possible get into some type of outdoor sport. You’ll notice how most people who indulge in any kind of sports as a hobby are generally better in fitness.
That’s how you should plan on improving your body.
