How You “accidently” slow down your metabolism and gain weight?

As we grow busy with our lives and circumstances, we start making decisions which ultimately starts effecting our health. And we often find that we are gaining fat and getting heavier. To help you with this issue, I am going to share few simple tips on speeding up your metabolism to keep your health on track.

Why you should worry about Metabolism?

In simple terms, Metabolism is the amount of energy (calories) your body burns to maintain itself. It’s a combination of the chemical reactions (Anabolism & Catabolism) which an organism needs to survive. The secret behind “Accidently” switching off your fat burning machine is your body composition.

People who are muscular and have lower percentage of Body fat will have Higher rate of burning calories. That’s why people who are active during the day are often leaner than their counterparts who spend most of time sitting in cubicle.

What are the Symptoms of metabolism slowing down?

Symptoms include fatigue, feeling cold, dry skin, constipation, a slowpulse and low blood pressure. All of these problems can be tackled easily by changing few habits.

How to change your habits to burn more calories during the day?

As human body ages, we start losing our muscle mass (if we don’t exercise) thus slowing down the rate of burning energy. You can easily change it by…

Two key words – exercise and improved nutrition and diet. The person who does any kind of physical work where his/her heart rate increases and muscles and tendons get activated a lot will burn calories like a fat burning machine.

NOTE :If you’ve never exercised before, make sure you see a doctor before beginning a new exercise program.

Eat six small meals a day to keep your body’s fuel supply consistent and keep your metabolism revved up.

Avoid eating late at night because your metabolism naturally slows down in the afternoon and evening, so eat a hearty breakfast.

The best foods to help you lose weight are fish, dark green leafy vegetables, tomatoes, blueberries and other fruits, whole grains, and at least 8 glasses of water a day.

If you exercise and eat wisely, however, you will burn those fat stores and increase your metabolism.  Remember You should think about quality rather than quantity here (10 minutes of good exercise does wonder)
