How To Create Sandbag

People always ask me how I create my sand bag. So If you are interested in sandbag training and want to create your own cheap sandbag Here’s my answer.

1. Find Sand

2. Find a Bag.

3. Put sand in the bag.

huh… Do you think I am making a wise crack? Otherwise check out this
picture . This is my sand bag about 60 pounds or so… I took out those plates
to show you how I increase weight.

Now Granted this is not the kind of sandbag most people talk about. Almost
all of them are using army duffle bag and zip locks… But You know what, it
took me only 5 minutes to create this one and start working out.

From my point of view you should be able to workout with 100 pounds sandbag. If you want start with 40-50 pounds and then build up. 100 pound sandbag is a body killer.

You can read how to create sandbag with zip locks and army duffle bag here.

How to create Thick Bars (thick dumbbells)

I used this method in my broke college days when it was Expensive for me to get thick bar bells as thick bars, handles are HARD to find.

Find something and wrap it on the the dumbbell bars or bar bells. You can create the thickness this way. As You can see All I need was a barbell or dumbbell and something to wrap it up. I am planning to add Duct tape over this

Now here Duct tape would have been better option. But again I worked with whatever I could find on hand at that moment. You can read more about creating thick bars with duct tape here. My method doesn’t have squishiness…

Again it’s all about creating all this from stuff lying at home. You don’t have to spend lot of money
