Can You Reduce Your Workout Time by 77% (and still lose fat)?
Imagine you are in gym sweating for last 30 minutes and you wished if it was possible to cut down few minutes and still get good results. Is it possible?
Well it is. It is possible for you to reduce your workout time spent by 77%. People who are looking for quick weight loss results will be glad and surprised to find out about this. Often most people do not find about such things because of the ignorance of their trainers (or guides).
It’s assumed in Weight loss industry that you have to spend at least 30 minutes for 5 days per week to get some decent results (let’s not even talk about diet for now, shall we?).
Today what I am going to share with you comes from Martial arts and sports background. This research has been backbone to creating my own 10 minute workouts.
The Research below had been done on active athletes. If it can improve their results with 8–10 sessions.
Proof that it works
Effects of moderate-intensity endurance and high-intensity intermittent training on anaerobic capacity and VO2max.
Tabata I, Nishimura K, Kouzaki M, Hirai Y, Ogita F, Miyachi M, Yamamoto K.
After using the Tabata protocols of 7-8 interval set of 20 second workout/10 second rest, It has been found in that athletes have their VO2max increased by 7 ml.kg-1.min-1, while the anaerobic capacity increased by 28%.
Taken From Wikipedia –
A HIIT session consists of a warm up period of exercise, followed by six to ten repetitions of high intensity exercise, separated by medium intensity exercise, and ending with a period of cool down exercise.
High-intensity interval training has also been shown to improve athletic performance. For already well-trained athletes, improvements in performance become difficult to attain and increases in training volume can potentially yield no improvements. Previous research would suggest that, for athletes who are already trained, improvements in endurance performance can be achieved through high-intensity interval training.
Now the results were taken from athletes but that doesn’t mean normal people can’t use it.
I am a good example of someone who found these tabata workouts enjoyable and effective. They are based on High Intensity Interval training methodologies. I’ve tested it on my brother, my best friend and quite a lot of my own clients for last 4 years. They work and work like gangbusters.
