How to easily clean up your diet?

One of the most important yet rarely asked question is “How to easily clean up your diet?”. Now you must be wondering “Why answer the question when it’s rarely asked?”. Right?

The answer is, because often beginners don’t know all the right questions. Like they say “Sometimes ignorance is bliss”. If you don’t know about something then you can’t exactly ask right questions.

In reality, this simple question will help you guide through your diet plan. Before you start any diet or nutrition program, you have to learn how to clean up your diet. You have to un-learn quite a few bad eating habits before you can actually start with good nutrition plan. Believe it or not, this is the major reason why people fail at diets?

Why they fail?

Because when people start with new diet plans, they create a change that’s way too huge. Instead of going slowly, they completely turned their eating habits upside down. Can you imagine how your body (and brain) is going to respond to that?

If you are thinking, massive craving, then you are right. That’s how your body respond to huge change.

Think of this as any addiction. The moment you decide to quit your addiction, your body, your brain starts to crave for it. That’s why I am recommending you to make changes slowly.

How are you going to clean up your diet?

1. Imagine what kind of body you want : Just before you are going to eat anything. Imagine what kind of body you’ll get after you eat this. So if you are not eating anything that helps toward your goal, then you are doing something wrong.

2. Go shopping once a week : Shop for your whole week in one day instead of doing multiple trips. In this case, chances of you eating many times go way low (some people have habit of eating whenever they go out). I prefer to chose sunday for this shopping trip.

3. Eat before you go to shopping : Before you make your Once a week shopping trip. Eat Something. Add some protein, fat and little bit of carb in that meal. If you eat something before going to shop, you won’t feel hungry or less chances of you craving something during the trip.

4. Plan your whole week : Just like shopping, decide what you are going to eat for the next whole week. Of course it’s life, and life is erratic. You’ll plans might have some changes as long as you are eating at least 90% of your meals as planned, chances of your getting your dream body increases.

5. Make a Journal : Write down everything you eat in a journal. This will help you be honest and take a serious look at what you are eating. You’ll be able to see what kind of changes you need to make.

6. Get a support buddy : or Wife or husband. Your family and friends are going to play crucial role in your weight loss. Find someone who can help you follow and stick to the rules. If they are going on diet with you, the better for you. You can motivate each other, kick each other when you are down.

As you can see, you can do a lot by doing small things. It’s these things that’ll matter in long run. As my brother found out how powerful simple things can be. He lost 4.2 inches off his waist in 28 days. Can you believe that?
