Often by mid of Jan, almost all the new years resolution end up being broken and battered thoroughly. I know we often make these kinds of resolutions about our health, finance and other goals, but we never end up following them properly.

So how to make permanent changes in your life starting this year?

It does not matter what is your goal. Be it, to lose weight, or to gain muscles. You have to understand all of the above goals required mindset change.

Changing mindset is all about discipline and with pressure from all sides (in our lives), we tend to ignore this change.

The simplest way to create changes from today is by doing it slowly. For example, if you eat a specific type of junk food regularly, make a plan to avoid it as much as possible. When you are confident about yourself and know that you have changed this habit, made another small change about your diet or may be workouts.

Few years ago when I started my own weight loss, one of the things I used to do was drink lot of cola daily (about 500 ml-1000ml). The moment I made that simple change and persisted in not drinking, I started seeing difference in my body.

Just a simple change. After couple of weeks, I made another dietary change regarding eating oily food.

Simple changes like these will give you HUGE benefits. People often screw up their new year resolutions because they try to make Huge changes in one go and their mind (and body) resists the change. Your mind resists the change because you have gotten comfortable with the current process.
