Not enough passion.

At dinner time today, my brother who was flipping through the channels stopped on a game of cricket match.

Now I am not a fan of the way this game is being played right now. I used to play this game myself and enjoyed every moment of it. In fact I loved this game.

While watching the game, I noticed the batsman hit a Six run (pretty much like home run for my American readers who don’t know cricket). Even though he hit a six, there was no excitement from batsman, none from the crowd whatsoever.

Wow… where has the time gone? In fact I should say, where has all the passion of the game gone?

I noticed how the bowlers, batsman and fielders all were going through the motions. They are going through the motion. I felt sorry for people watching (and the one playing), they are not enjoying it at all.

It has become a chore to them.

While I was watching this, I realized how most of us go through the motions like this.

No passion, no excitement, nothing to act upon.

No wonder our lives have become slow and we are becoming fatter. Not to mention spending so many hours daily in front of TV is killing our brain cells and creating distances in relationships.

And when it comes to losing weight, we are again going through the motions. No excitement, no passion involved. Did you ever thought Why You are losing weight?

It’s such a simple question. But it’ll simply stump you, put you on back foot.

Why You Want to lose Weight?

Because it makes you healthy? Nah…

Because it makes you look good? Nah…

Because being thin feels better? nope at all…

These above are all good reasons. But nothing to get excited about.

Because I want to live the life to the fullest, enjoy every second of my life. Doing good.

Because I want to enjoy playing games with my kids and not feel tired. Now this is far better.

Find your own reason. If you can find the reason, you’ll find it’ll hurt, if you can’t achieve your goals. Then you know the reason is good enough.
