These innocent mistakes keeps women fat, the best thing about this is, now you know where you can go wrong.
I want to lose weight – The biggest mistake women often makes is by deciding that they want to “lose weight”. It makes me cringe whenever I hear something like this. Why?
Because weight does not means fat. You can lose weight but still be fat. You’ll be skinny fat. Scary thoughts isn’t it?
Now it doesn’t matter if your goal is “to lose 20 lbs”, from my experience you often needs to lose less amount of fat to look sexy.
I am trying on XYZ Diet – Personally I have lots of respect for the diets, but when I hear “Trying on XYZ diet”, I just wonder about them. There are 2 things in this I want to talk about.
First you don’t try, you either do it or you don’t, it’s mindset issue.
Second, if you get in habit of trying diets, you’ll end up with screwed up metabolism, heart problems and still fat. Yo-yo diets are the cause for that. Just a diet alone will not help you in long run.
Carbs is my enemy – How many times you have seen women go on war against carbs? oh yes, the finding by dr atkins were quite interesting. But people tend to forget, most of the research is often biased to find “the results”.
Sigh, anyways… Carbs is not your enemy. Carbs is just one of the nutrients your body needs. Though taking too much carbs can make you fat so can taking too less carbs. Surprised? yes, too less carbs slows down metabolism and invokes hunger response from your body.
Too much low carb will make you look aged, tired and you’ll still be fat.
Fat is my enemy – Though it’s been years since “Fat is my enemy” propaganda, but we can still see it in the crowds. People try to avoid fat in the food and yet they are fat. So where did we go wrong?
Again, like in carbs issue, fat is another nutrient needed by your body. Our ‘experts’ have divided fat into good fat and bad fat. It seems common sense, but can you really divide it like black and white? it’s not possible in real world.
Everything comes down on what we eat, how we eat.
I am doing cardio – I really panicked when I called up my girlfriend and got this response. I was wondering, how in the blue hell, is she doing cardio and can talk to me?
When I do it, I can put 2 words out of my mouth. So I asked “What exactly are you doing in your cardio”. Her response was, “Oh, 15 minutes stationary bike, 15 minute of treadmill”.
It was shocking for me. My girl friend doe s that kind of workout? horrible. I told her to workout with me for the next couple of weeks. I told her, if you can talk while doing cardio, you are not doing cardio.
Cardio or cardiovascular exercises will boost your heart rate, pump your blood and make you lean mean machine. You don’t exactly need to spend 30 minutes of boring cardio.
I challenged her to try my 10 minute cardio routine. She never did “cardio” again. Now she does what I call “Energy workouts” (had to change name cuz everyone things cardio as treadmill running ahhhpooo…). Her “cardio” finishes up in 10 minutes and she’s happy with results.
I don’t want to bulk up – How many times women complain about not lifting weights? This is one of their reason, why women don’t do weights. They don’t want to look like “masculine” chick.
I understand that and I often tell them, women don’t have enough testosterone to bulk up. The bodybuilder women are often on different kind of supplements and what not to look like “that”.
Well, after I tired myself of explaining all that… I tell them with weights…
1. Your metabolism will improve – means burn fat even when you are not working out.
2. You’ll have stronger bone compositions – helps in later years
3. Your tendons, joints conditioning improves -
4. Look younger – that often wons the case for me.
I just found out she lost XYZ on that diet pill – Ok, No matter how good the commercial or info-commercial is, there are on such thing called “diet pills”. most of these kind of supplements only suppress your hunger so you eat less and gives illusion of losing weight.
If there was any diet pill or fat loss pill, then we won’t go into fat epidemic. With so many desperate people out here, We’d want to get our hands on such things, isn’t it?
